Black Therapist in Houston for women with anxiety and insomnia

Also providing online anxiety therapy in Temecula, CA and throughout California

You have a lot of good things in your life- a great career, ‘a picture perfect life,’ you're smart, and you have positive support around you. You’re the one everyone goes to when they need help. You’re a fighter, and if there is a goal, you'll definitely achieve it. You’re all about generational healing and minding your own business.

But you’re everything to everyone and it’s exhausting. You show up in your professional life. You always have a goal you’re working towards. You pride yourself in checking of your to do list and achieving huge goals.

The problem is you’re tired. You don’t know how to show up in your personal life.

Your upbringing was difficult. Your family was full of chaos, competition, arguments and secrets. You always knew you didn't fit in.

You sometimes feel invisible. There’s no room for you on your to do list.

No one notices what you are going through because you hold in all of your emotions. No matter how much you pray, you still feel anxious and invisible.

As a woman of color

You are sick of making yourself uncomfortable so that others can be more comfortable. You're tired of second guessing yourself when you sit at tables that weren't built for you.

You wonder, “Am I good enough? Can I show them the real me?” You really just want to be chilling. You want to know the real you and you want to be confident in how you show up in the world. But it’s hard because your family doesn't get you, your friends think you're a superhero, and the world certainly doesn't get you.

Sometimes, you pretend- just to be accepted.

You want to learn how to communicate what you need to the people who love you the most.

You want to be confident every day just as you are. You want to find your spark again. Your anxiety is at an all time high and you want it to stop controlling you.

You want to learn how to love your family, but protect your emotional peace. You want to be able to say “No.” You want to learn how to tell your husband what you need. You are so sick and tired of people telling you that "You're too sensitive." You want to be balanced and happier.

My name is Ibinye. I am an immigrant, a Christian and a Black therapist seeing clients in Houston and in the Murrieta/Temecula area. I’ll help you learn how to be yourself while ditching the persona you’ve hidden behind for years.

My clients experience freedom in being themselves, which also gives them more peace, less exhaustion and way more joy. From the first session, I show up as me and encourage my clients to be free in our time together. That means talking about hair, politics, race, church, essential oils, podcasts and TV shows.

All the stuff that no one understands or that you monitor is welcome here.

You can be loud. You can laugh. You can use slang. You can wear your head wrap and be comfortable. You will learn how to embrace the whole of who you are. My clients say they didn't know therapy could be this comfortable.

Therapy with me is not stuffy or rigid.

There is a magic that happens between me and my clients that I want to invite you to experience.
